Luis Armando García
Luis Armando García was born in 1967 in Zacatecas, in the middle of semi-desert, Northern Mexico. Since 1989 he has been involved in several experimental plastic art workshops in Mexico and was invited to participate in Artist-in-residence programs in France, Spain and Canada. His studies as an Electronic Systems Engineer allowed him to develop a special interest in multimedia art, such as digital art, installation and street theater performances. His work has been presented in several cities around the world as part of group exhibitions. In 2010, he participated in an Artist Residency Program between the CALQ and the FONCA in Quebec where he was encouraged to leave his country and settle permanently in Canada. He has been living and working in Montreal since 2015.
